Graffiti along the outer wall of Mansoura University’s campus reads “By sharia we will live in dignity,” the popular campaign slogan of now disqualified presidential candidate Hazem Salah Abu Ismail. Ismail’s colorful personality and quirky antics were once highlighted by his belief that Pepsi stands for “Pay Every Penny to Support Israel.” I like this photo mostly because I can’t take any responsibility for the clever placement of the Pepsi can above Ismail’s slogan, and can only assume it was the work of a Mansouran with a good sense of humor.
